Hartford/West Hartford Children and Youth System of Care

The mission of the Hartford/West Hartford Children and Youth System of Care is to empower and mobilize parents/caregivers, neighborhoods and youth to develop a culturally-competent children's behavioral health system in partnership with schools, state and local agencies.

The vision of the Hartford/WestHartford Children and Youth System of Care is to:

  • Create a system of care that is led and governed by parents, caregivers, youth and community stakeholders. In this system, families, youth and community stakeholders will identify, design and evaluate needed services.

 

  • Offer high quality integrated children's behavioral health services based on family strengths and individual needs.

 

  • Enable youth with behavioral health needs to live and thrive in their communities offer the right services at the right time in the family's first language.

 

  • Use traditional and non-traditional services and natural supports to maintain the youth in his/her home and community.

 

  • Provide services that work and enable children/youth to recover and to live within their families and communities.

 

  • Foster mutual respect, commitment, responsibility and knowledge of the system of care among all partners.

 

  •  Provide outstanding customer service to youth and families; offer services which cultivate teh greatest youth/family satisfaction.
