VOLUNTEER DEPARTMENT ASSISTANT

PROGRAM: Community Relations Department

LOCATION: 1680 Campus

LENGTH OF SERVICE: On-going

DAYS/HOURS: Weekdays (hrs between 9-5)

JOB SUMMARY: Volunteer would assist the Community Relations department with day today duties involved with volunteer management. Volunteer will work closely with the Community Ambassador.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Calling cleared volunteers
• Completing Phone call reports
• Scheduling Interviews and campus tours
• Filing volunteer applications
• Filing volunteer timesheets
• Updating volunteer database
• Data input of volunteer hrs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• College Interns strongly encouraged
• Mature High School students considered
• Excellent written and oral communications skills
• Experience in public speaking
• Strong planning, interpersonal and relationship building skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
• Knowledge of the greater Hartford communities and the ability to interact with individuals from various cultural and socio-economic groups.
