PROGRAM: Village South - Food Pantry
LOCATION: Village South Center for Community
Life, 331 Wethersfield Avenue
LENGTH OF SERVICE: Flexible, but prefer a
3-6 month commitment
DAYS/HOURS: Twice Monthly for 3-4 hours during
food pantry hours -
Thursdays from 10 am -1: 00 pm or 5:00-8:00 pm on 2nd
4th Wednesday or Thursday of the Month
JOB SUMMARY: Assist in the administration
of food pantry operations including stocking food on the shelves,
tracking inventory, collecting client data and distributing food.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Check customers into the
food pantry; monitor sign in sheets; distribute client intake
forms; collect needed data from clients; assist clients in selecting
food items; stock food shelves and the refrigerator/freezer.
QUALIFICATIONS: Physical ability to stock shelves; good
communication skills; good interpersonal skills
