The Village is an accredited behavioral health and social service agency that seeks to build a community of strong, healthy families who protect and nurture children. We fulfill our mission by providing a broad spectrum of treatment, placement, and community support services for children and families in the Greater Hartford Region.  The Village is an approved Medicaid provider designated by the state as an Enhanced Care Clinic—which means we can provide services quickly to the children and families who need us most.

Our programs are open to all families in the Greater Hartford Region who can benefit from them. Historically, we have served the most vulnerable members of our community—low-income urban families and children who have suffered the devastating effects of poverty and violence.  Many of our clients are referred to us by DCF or the court system; others come to us on their own after hearing good things from family, friends, schools, or community agencies.

We want to be available and accessible to families who struggle with multiple barriers to service.  We provide services in languages our clients understand, go to their homes or schools when they can’t come to us, and help them get what they need to help themselves and their children.  We are committed to treating all clients with respect and dignity, understanding where they’ve been and what they’ve experienced.
