Positive Outcomes Earn Major Grant to Reunify Families
Village Receives $233,000 in Funding
HARTFORD, CT—Outcomes over a five-year service record earned a major grant from the Department of Children and Families for the Village for Families and Children. The grant, estimated at $233,000, will support partnerships of Village professionals with families seeking to reunify. The Village has been a DCF provider since 1994.
“This newest grant enables parents to be empowered and involved in the reunification process,” said Doreen Jordan, VP Permanency. The service is designed for families with children who were removed from their home for protective service concerns, according to DCF.
Village clinicians are adept at motivating families and knowledgeable about skills that prepare a family for successful reunification. Through awarding the grant to the Village, “DCF is building on their investment in the mosaic of care we provide,” said Ms. Jordan.
