Village staff involved with school-based programs.

The Village has partnered with ECHO (Empathy, Character, Hope, Opportunity) a program created by The Justice Education Center for its first ECHO Football Camp for boys and girls.  ECHO is an innovate discipline – a system of rules of conduct – that encourages, teaches, and provides structured opportunities for adults to connect to children by modeling and emulating positive character-building behaviors and attitudes. As part of this new effort, a one-day football camp was offered to approximately 100 boys and girls on Friday, July 30, 2010 at the field of Martin Luther King School. The camp was facilitated by Robert McNamara, Commissioner for the Constitution State Conference and Head Football Coach for Prince Tech in Hartford. He was joined by a total of 8 coaches and players.
