Travelers Grants funds Dwight School Academic Program |

Hartford, CT Nov. 17, 2009 – Travelers has awarded a $40,000 grant to the Village for Families & Children, Inc. to provide academic support services in the Dwight School located on 585 Wethersfield Avenue in Hartford. This intensive Village program works in collaboration with the principal, teachers and school staff in order to provide valuable after-school academic help. The support will help students with leadership and character development skills, along with enrichment and recreational activities. The award will also provide students with backpack food donations that will supplement their nutritional needs. Village President and CEO Galo Rodriguez said, “This grant from Traveler’s will help us to continue supporting student achievement, learning, and positive social development in the Dwight School. We are deeply grateful to the Travelers for their continued generosity and support.”
